Cliffside recordings from the Pacific Coast. This mini-pack contains sounds of the ocean crashing against jagged cliffs, into a deep sea cave, and into rocky tidepools.
Free from contamination from boat or highway traffic, these files have been used in major feature films and television shows, mastered and tagged with industry-standard metadata for easy organization and use.
These recordings were made during one of my long drives up Highway 1 along the California coastline. Just outside the town of Avila Beach, a little-known sea cave is carved into the hill above waves smashing into the rocky shore. Places like Avila (and the rest of Highway 1) are often photographed but rarely recorded, making these sounds unexpectedly rare.
