There are very few professional recordings of vehicle crashes, but this pack is one of them. Captured on a private track in the mountains outside of Los Angeles, this car crash and skid sequence was performed by one of the film industry’s top stunt drivers: Bret Smrz.

But there are millions who have seen their work and watched their stunt driving unfold in films worldwide. This recording is of Bret's first full car flip, recorded from less than 15 feet away with the legendary Neumann RSM191 into a Sound Devices recorder.
